Fairy fantasy

For this card, which took me out of my comfort zone a bit, I used red green and white. I wanted to enter the Polka Doodles challenge, it makes me think and come up with something new, for me at any rate. This is an 8 x 8 card, my favourite size, an image from Josephine Wall's collection found on Enchanted Dreams CD. The frame has been stamped onto white card with a lovely Bo Bunny corner stamp, and the 3D butterflys also Bo Bunny, stamped in red. Finished off in the usual fashion with bling, ribbon and lots of shiny card! I might add that my collection of "proper" stamps is fairly limited, as I so like digi stamps for their versatality, so I had to have a right old rummage to find this lovely corner stamp.

In the garden shed

Lovely lovely Tim Holz card.. a watercolour of a shelf in the garden shed,  a nice card for a chap. I bought some zig watercolour pens and just had to use them today. This image is a digi,  and the ink ran a bit.. but in actual fact it enhanced the painting! A bit of faux stitching and job done.

I just couldn't escape Christmas!

I tried so hard not to do Christmas, but I love this image from Sundae of Seasons, so it just had to be done. Cut some florishes from my Cricut, Winter Wonderland cartridge just to add a finishing touch. Red ribbon, a given, sparkly paper and glossy acents on flames and berries. Hard to see in the picture, but done nonetheless.  I quite like the end result, but I still might do another card NOT Christmas in the same colours... thinking hat well and truly on!

The perfect pair

A special card for someone special, cut with my cricut "Home decor" cartridge, Ornamental Iron 2 cartridge, Bo bunny papers, ribbon and a felt flower. I used some of the waste to decorate the corners of the layered squares.

arched easel card

A shaped Christmas card, 8 x 8" card made into a conventional easel, but shaped with an iron work arch. I tried to get this looking like a stately home, with the feeling of balustrades, a garden, trees and gate to a secret garden. Papers from Pretty Tuff, absolutely fabulous papers, images from Seasons of Sundae. Everything folds flat, as the upright trees are attached to folding 3d square "tubes". I am entering this into the Polka Doodles challenge.

Yellow and Grey

I made this card for my daughters 29th birthday on Friday. I have mainly used grey papers from a digital download on Cuddly Buddly called slate,  yellow basic cardstock, a few gems and a bit of glitter on the butterfly. I like using this shape card, it allows me to be creative on the front and do the sentiment stuff inside.  This card is 8 x 8, my favourite size, but expensive to post.

A card using free papers from "Making cards" mag

This is a card I made using the free papers from the Making cards magazine, it's a brilliant resource and shows quite advanced projects which I like. I'm a little disappointed about the Jones Tones puff paint, especially on the fold line of the card, it made it look like polyfiller!  Next time I shall leave it off. I am going to make a few of these for family members for Christmas.

Howard and Me at the NEC, how cool was that show !!!

what a fabulous day we had at the show,  and got a super photo with Howard, and humble apologies to him as I called him Shaun !  I'm sure he didn't mind. He didn't correct me!  Poor soul, he looks happy enough... Fab day, can't wait until next year. xxx Thanks to my daughter Adrienne for acting as driver xx

3 flowers, 2 buttons and a ribbon

3 flowers, 2 buttons (they are layered) and a ribbon. I am using downloaded papers from Cuddly Buddly, called slate and also one of my favourite characters, Angus MacFluff. The large flower is made with felted fabric which has been cut with a Tim Holz die and then stitched together. This card I have actually made for my brothers 50th birthday.. I hope he likes it.

Just chillin'

My shaped card,  I used the "Just a note" cartridge to cut my basic design, and cut bits off to suit my card. I used the new CD Pretty Tuff for papers and most of the toppers. I used the little girl from the Sundae of Seasons CD and coloured in her with Promarkers. I have cut a mirror and frame from Cricut essentials cartridge, and that is behind the door. I usually distress my work and add tons of dots and dashes, but this time I thought the images did it all.

And at last my Christmas card!

What would I do without my Cricut! Everything has been cut out on it to produce this card, now you might think so what... I have to make 36 + .... exactly!  The image is from Cuddly Buddly,  my favourite, but I cheated, I printed off the coloured in version,  I didn't have time to promarker it.... and the next 35 or so... mind you Mel Heaton Photocopies her coloured in images, ummm might have to do that !!!  Anyway a 6x6 " card for colleagues, next door neighbours etc etc etc.

Everything thrown at it!

Someone said on a blog somewhere that they didn't throw everything at their cards, well I thought I would!  Except this one has no bling, not like me at all !!
