A little blogpost

Good morning, I've been reminded how much a blog can bring crafty folks together, an area to show case your work, to get inspiration from others and to encourage other crafters by leaving positive comments etc. it's a wonderful thing to share, inspire and create. I have a little pic of a card I did a few months ago.... I love the colours and of course it's Tattered Lace.

Decadence

Good morning lovely bloggers!  Whoops I'm late I'm late for a very important blog!  Well in my defence I've been so busy in tellyland that sometimes I need about 48 hours in the day.... anyway I couldn't let this lovely Tattered Lace blog challenge go by without adding my interpretation of decadence!  I have used the Lily Lavish Blooms dies, with the skeleton leaf from the Lavish leaves too. I have also used 2 of the new embossing folders, chains and a corner folder too. I have used silver mirror board which for me is the decandence and some lovely papermania card, which is my latest favourite cardstock.

I hope you like it:

Thank you for visiting my blog, please go and see what other lovely creations have been made by the design team. Lizzy xxx

What a treat that I can use these and show how fabulous they are. This card was made for the Tattered Lace challenge blog, please have a play with us. The theme is elegance.

Watch out for the launch of the new embossing folders on Create & Craft, or visit your local Hobbycraft store to see the folders and some very exclusive dies.

It's all about the boys

Hello everyone, today sees the start of a new challenge over at The Tattered Lace blog, you can find it here. The challenge this month is all about the boys, I have used a new interlocking card design, it's a nice little card shape that bends when locked, I think the theory is it should stand, but I have failed so far to make it stand on its own. Anyway I have used the With Love from the mini sentiments set and the centre medallion from the Chatsworth collection. Gorgeous dies indeed!

Thank you for visiting my blog, please go enter your card at the Tattered Lace challenge blog xxx

Romance & Roses

Good morning my crafty friends! This month I have been invited to join in the Tattered Lace dies challenge, what fun. here is the link.

To make this heart I used the Poppy die and leaf from the Lavish blooms collection, the tumbling vine, double hearts pick and the Marguerite small flower, and I have included a pic so you can see the  dies I have used.

I have used a great technique to make the roses and I have included a short video tutorial to show you how they were made.

If you don't fancy watching and listening to me, then here are the instructions: Cut 3 large flowers, cut into all three to make a rose, these must be cut from mulberry paper, stick all the layers together, spritz with ink, water or mica, whatever takes your fancy, scrunch up the petals while the flower is wet, dry overnight, distress the edges and place on your design.

Well enough chat, here are the pics!

I joined two of the heart picks together to make the butterfly's, the postcard is from the shabby sweet embellishment cd, the postcard was from the embellishment attic collection. The I love you stamp is part of the ditzy stamp collection.

Thank you for stopping by, and don't forget to join in the challenge! xxx

Say it with flowers

Hello my crafty friends, I just had to make another card using the gorgeous Tattered Lace poppy die, plus dies from the new sets Westminster and Kensington. I have a bit of a thing about blue and white, so no surprise that I gravitated towards that colour combo again! I have used a little distress ink, faded jeans, just to add a bit of depth, the flowers were embossed, a nice effect.

Thank you so much for stopping by xxx

It's a simple card but I love how the poppy dies are perfect for the aperture! Here is my card, I hope you like it xxxx

Sweetie Pie

Morning crafty friends,  today I have done an inspirational post for All Dressed Up, I am using the beautiful digi image from All Dressed Up called Sweetie Pie, you can find her here, she is quite adorable...

I really love the pink, and to tone it down I also used a dark brown which is so complimentary, I used both colours and the white to frame my little sweetie pie, and finished it off with a flourish of flowers.. talking of flourishes, I used a Tattered Lace die to enhance the top of the frame, which gives rather an elegant touch. Please visit the Etsy store to find lots of lovely images ready to colour.

Thanks for stopping by - Lizzy xxx

Tattered Lace - Florentine collection

If anyone was in any doubt about getting any more dies, please wait till after next weekend!!! These new dies from Tattered Lace are totally amazing, stunning, beautiful and so much more... I love them.. the sizes are perfect for the bigger cards, but not so big that they don't fit on a 6x6... here is one of my designs using the princess carriage, OMG I love it so much!

Truly stunning, I have made this die in various ways, embossed, glittered, paper pieced, etc etc, and I shall be demonstrating some of these techniques on Create & Craft next weekend. Yay, thanks for stopping by... Lizzy xxx
